Denver PAL has created the Overlord History Program to help keep the story of the Greatest Generation alive with students from across the country. Not only do the students learn the story of the Normandy invasions, sacrifice, and cooperation with other nations, but for some PAL kids, they also get to see that the world is much bigger than they might believe it to be.

And they also learn the lesson of accomplishing what might seem to be an impossible goal of traveling abroad. Truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Why “Overlord Project?”

Operation Overlord was the code name for the Battle of Normandy, the Allied operation that launched the successful invasion of German-occupied Western Europe during World War II. We use it in deference to the brave men in all Allied branches of service during this important time in American and European history.
